Hello friends and hello 2018!!A big hug and welcome to all of my loyal followers and all of you who are new to following KHH aka Kim Hoegger Home, aka Cottage Girl. I am so glad that you are here and am so looking forward to starting this new year off with a bang and dishing out some really great interior design knowledge, sources and just plain old fun. There's so much to share so I hope you'll come back weekly to check in on what's happening with KHH.For starters, we have opened a brand new studio in downtown Mckinney, Texas and are so happy to be there. It's a lovely space that we are honored to call home and we have the best landlord ever! We can't wait for you to see it and hope you'll give us a call and come by to see us soon. And I say give us a call because we are a design business first and we are not always in the studio - beautiful projects take us away most days but we would be delighted to meet you there - just give us a call and schedule an appointment or sign up for our new Design In A Day Workshops. More about the new studio in an upcoming blog post so hang around, you don't want to miss a thing. You heard that right, we are diving in deep this year and sharing tons of cool stuff with you about how the design process works - how to select flooring and wallpaper, how to handle a remodel, how to design your bathroom and what things to consider, how to select a paint color(there's so much more to it than just placing a sample on the wall!). All the things that you've been dying to know! Well, we are going to share our secrets with you! Watch your email, Instagram and the Blog for information on the upcoming workshops. And if your not on the email list - get on it!! You'll find an opt in on the website, just fill it out and you're in.Another really great piece of news it that we have been greatly honored with an invitation to participate as a designer in the upcoming and completely amazing Hillside Designer Show House featuring The Julian Price Home in Greensboro, NC. I am over the moon excited about this project for so many reasons. Not only is this house on the historical register and one of the most beautiful and well built homes in the Greensboro area, it's also an interior designer's dream come true. Well, at least for me it is!! The house was built in 1929(they had me at "built in 1929" lol) by the very well known insurance salesman, Julian Price. I have truly never seen such an incredible structure - the architecture is stunning but the manner and materials from which it was constructed is the most incredible part to me. I won't spoil the surprise by giving you too many details but STAY TUNED for updates on the Blog and watch as we transform two beautiful spaces within the Home. And...drumroll, we are debuting Kim Hoegger Home Textiles and Wallpaper in one of the rooms - So exciting! You simply must stayed tuned so you don't miss a single moment of this beautiful transformation. Well, here we go! Welcome to another fabulous year in design and many, many fun adventures with KHH. We are glad you are here and will be along for the ride. XXX, Kim
