Day Two NYC

It's 9:15 pm here and I am calling it a day. WHEW!! Another wonderful day in NYC!

I slept in today since events for Blogfest didnt start until 12:00pm. So nice and awaking to the rain made it even nicer. I LOVE the rain and the thunder. Something about it is soothing and comforting to me. So waking to the sound of thunder and rain made me smile. Made some coffee, checked my email, my financials, facebook, etc. etc. Then showered and headed downstairs for something to eat. I landed in the hotel restaurant called TOSHI'S Living Room. 

I noticed another blogger standing alone and ordering a bagel. I decided to introduce myself and asked her to have breakfast, or should I say brunch, with me. I am so glad I did! It was Erin of House of Turquoise!! We had a wonderful brunch and had so much to talk about. Check out Erin's wonderful blog @ www.houseofturquoise.com

After lunch, I headed over to ICFF at the Jacob Javits Center. ICFF is the International Furniture Show. It was a lot of fun and there was so much to see. 

Next on the agenda was the Blogfest Opening Party and Tour of the Kips Bay Decorators Showhouse www.kipsbaydecoratorshowhouse.org

This was out of this world amazing!!! The best designers in the US creating rooms in two NY apartments. OMG!!

The above are photos of one of the Master Bedrooms. This one was decorated by Charlotte Moss. Yes, the Charlotte Moss! www.charlottemoss.com It was one of the most beautiful rooms in the house and my photos do not do it any justice. It was like being in a european garden. I loved it! Notice the preserved boxwood on the wall behind the sofa, gorgeous.

And yes, this is me and Charlotte. Yay! I have followed her work for years and it was so nice to meet her. She was so candid and funny and her work was truly breathtaking.

These are just the tip of the iceberg at the Kips Bay Decorators Showhouse, more on the other rooms later.

And finally, after the Showhouse we headed over to the After Party hosted by Savant Experience Center, an amazing showcase of the work of Savant Audio/Video equipment which is all Apple Based. The Studio was designed by Thom Filicia adn it was fabulous! www.thomfilicia.com

What a day! So many wonderful people and places in NYC! I am pooped and ready for bed. More tomorrow on the Showhouse and Day Three
